Hi, I’m Angie and I'm glad you're here. My work sits at the intersection of lived experience, deep clinical training, and a genuine understanding of what it means to lose and rediscover yourself in motherhood. As a perinatal mental health–certified therapist with a background in psychology, research, and nervous system–informed care, I help mothers move beyond surface-level coping and into deeper self-understanding. My focus on ADHD, identity, and burnout allows me to support mothers who process the world differently and often feel “too much” or “not enough.” I combine evidence-based approaches with compassion and real-life perspective to help you reconnect with your calm, capacity, and sense of self.
I became a therapist because I believe the transition into motherhood is one of the most profound — and often under-supported — experiences a woman can go through. My work centers on maternal and women’s mental health, supporting clients in cultivating self-compassion, inner trust, and emotional resilience.
Before entering clinical practice, I taught about the maternal brain and the powerful neurological shifts that occur during pregnancy and early motherhood. This work became deeply personal when I had my first child and struggled through my own identity shifts. I wanted mothers to understand how many changes are occurring in their brains and bodies, hoping this knowledge would allow for more self-compassion and care. As I connected with new moms, I felt called to bridge the gap between academic research and real-life motherhood. That’s when I shifted into clinical therapeutic work — where real, compassionate, and personalized support can make a meaningful difference.
As a cognitive psychologist, I’m endlessly curious about how the brain processes life’s challenges and how we can work with our minds to find greater balance and clarity. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and grounded in each client’s strengths, needs, and lived experiences.
I also support women and couples raising neurodivergent children or children diagnosed with ADHD, as well as those adjusting to pregnancy, postpartum, or other perinatal challenges. I’m neurodivergent myself and am raising a neurodivergent child, so I understand both the challenges and the unique strengths that can come with it. In our work together, I help clients embrace those strengths while finding compassion for the parts that feel more difficult.
While my work is rooted in maternal mental health, I often see how much strain can develop between partners during the transition into parenthood. Many mothers I work with feel a deep disconnect between what they need and what they are receiving. And many partners feel unsure, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to show up in this new dynamic.
Because parents sit at the emotional center of a family, I believe both deserve support. When a mother feels cared for and steady, and her partner feels understood and equipped, the entire family system benefits. For this reason, I also support partners and couples who want to strengthen connection, build emotional awareness, and create a more stable foundation at home.
While I work with all women, I’m especially drawn to those in the thick of motherhood — navigating anxiety, identity shifts, relationship changes, or simply feeling lost in or burned out by the demands of caregiving.
Outside of therapy, I’m a mom to two amazing girls (ages 6 and 9), a wife to a supportive husband, and a fur mom to a show dog, an elderly lab, a neurotic cat, and six chickens. I love hiking, creating, moving my body in ways that feel good, and spending time in nature and with my family (usually both simultaneously).
Wherever you are on your journey, you deserve support that honors the full complexity of who you are. I’d be honored to work with you.

My Approach
At the heart of my work is a person-centered approach that honors your individuality, history, worldview, and needs. I believe you are the expert on your own life — my role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore your story, identify patterns, and uncover what’s working and what needs care.
We begin by exploring your life story — the timeline of your mental health and the experiences that have shaped it, both positively and negatively. From there, we land in the present and take an honest look at what’s working and what isn’t. Using an adapted model of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, I help you identify where there may be gaps — emotional, physical, social, or psychological — and work with you to address those areas in ways that feel nurturing and sustainable.
A core part of my approach is Internal Family Systems (IFS), a powerful framework for understanding and working with the different “parts” within you — those voices, feelings, and patterns that often shape your thoughts and behavior. Many of us experience inner conflict between parts — a nurturing part, a critical part, an overachieving part, or a perfectionistic part. Together, we explore the origins of these parts, how they’ve been trying to protect you, and how to respond to them with compassion. This work creates space for you to lead from your authentic self — the wise, kind, and grounded part of you that’s always been there.
For many women and mothers, mental wellness is impacted by self-criticism, perfectionism, and the relentless pressure to meet unrealistic expectations. These harsh inner voices are often mirrored in the world around us, especially through social media. Over time, they can lead to burnout, overwhelm, and a constant sense of not being enough. In our work, we notice when these voices arise and practice responding with compassion instead of judgment or avoidance — softening their hold so you can create a more supportive relationship with yourself.
Every step of the way, my approach is rooted in respect for your unique journey, with the goal of helping you find — or restore — balance and self-trust. Together, we’ll work to let go of what no longer serves you and embrace what brings you joy, connection, and fulfillment.

About My Clients
I help mothers who feel burned out, disconnected, or overstimulated rediscover who they are beneath the roles they hold — without feeling like they’re failing everyone around them.
My clients struggle as you do. Despite being capable, caring, and deeply self-aware, life still feels heavy.
When they first come in, they describe waking up already tense, their minds racing through lists of what needs to be done before the day even begins. They hold their breath until bedtime, wondering why they can’t seem to ever feel rested.
They talk about snapping at the people they love most, then drowning in guilt afterward. Even small decisions feel overwhelming, and they wonder where their patience went.
They often say they’ve “lost themselves” — that they can’t remember the last time they felt calm, creative, or connected. The exhaustion runs so deep it feels like a personality change.
Their burnout, overstimulation, and disconnection get in the way of the life they want in so many ways. They aren’t the kind of mother, partner, or person they want to be. They feel like they’re failing at keeping it all together. And their confidence in themselves is slipping fast.
Before they came to see me, they worried that therapy would make them feel even more “broken.” They wondered if they’d have to rehash everything or explain what motherhood feels like to someone who just doesn’t get it. And they were pretty certain they should be able to handle this on their own.
Feeling this way is isolating and exhausting.
Like my clients, you deserve to wake up without dread and feel steady, even when life is loud.
Having space to breathe and care for yourself without guilt is not out of reach.
If you want to feel grounded, present, and like yourself again, I’d love to help you get there.
You don’t have to keep holding it all together alone.
